We spent the 28th through the 30th relaxing in Hendersonville. I took the Ducati S2R. For the trip up, I took 176 from Peak S.C. to Hwy 11 near Campobello. Somewhere around Union S.C, I received a polite request to slow down from a Highway patrol officer. I rode 11 then picked up US 276 through Ceasar’s Head State Park and on into N.C. From there I continued on 276 to Brevard N.C. From Brevard I took Hwy 64 to Hwy 215 and got on the Blue Ridge Parkway.Friday after a visit to the lawyer’s office, I headed out on Hwy 64 to Bat Cave and picked Hwy 74 to Asheville N.C. and took the BRP back to Hendersonville. We spent Saturday shopping and laying around the house and enjoying the all day rain, as it cooled the temps down.Hwy 215Sunday morning was one last ride up the BRP and other local roads in Asheville and Hendersonville, before heading for home. It was a great weekend. Well except for bending the brake pedal on the Ducati on the road leading to the house. I was going around a tight curve and the road surface is somewhat uneven. The suspension compressed and the brake pedal hit the ground and it looks ugly. Pictures to follow. :(The Ducati S2R with the L-twin engne that provides plenty of torque, was loads of fun to ride on roads such as the Blue Ridge Parkway.
