Another Great weekend in Hendersonvile N.C.

Sunday, July 20th, 2008

One of the local residanets said this cabin is 200 years old. Yes the quality of these photos leaves a lot to be desired.

I went looking for a road. It turned out to be a gravel road, so on to other roads in the area.

The ubiquitous photo from the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The moto side has been long neglected

Well I have taken a few short overnight trips on the Monster. My wife and I rode the Yamaha to N.C. for the usual “1st weekend in May” long weekend, no pictures though. I guess we like riding more than stopping to take photos, but I digress.

Well today I rode up U.S. 321 to Clover S.C. then on 49 to Charlotte N.C. for a “look see” at the BMW-Ducati of Charlotte dealer. For the return trip to Columbia, I rode U.S. 21. Here a couple of pics of Clover, with its small town charm.

This past weekend I rode the S2R to Hendersonville. My wife, a friend of ours, and three dogs followed me on the trip.

Labor Day Weekend 2006

Well instead of the Boone Rally, we went to Hendersonville N.C. We left Columbia late in the day. I rode the Yamaha FZ6 and Vickie in the car with our two dogs. I went up 176 as usual and then took I-85 to the Cracker Barrel for a lite lunch and to meet up with Vickie, who left columbia after running some errands. From there we tok I-26 to H’ville, got to the house ang got settled in.

We rode over to MR motorcycles in Asheville to pick up a Frogg Togg rainsuit for Vickie. MR is a nice dealership quick, fast, and friendly service. The Frogg Togg suit was $60. A certain BMW dealer wanted $75 for just the rain jacket and $59 fr the pants!!! I don’t think so.

We then rode up the BRP for Lunch at the Mount Mitchell restaurant. and then back down the BRP to Brevard to get something at Radio Shack. They were closed, so off to Lowes.

Sunday we explored some local roads in Hendersonville before making another run on the parkway. This trip was little on riding and a lot of relaxing, after moving into a new house.
