Labor Day Weekend 2007
Tuesday, September 4th, 2007hello
Monday, January 10th, 2005Hello from South Dakota!
Where did you get that rear suitcase for the FZ6 and how much was it? Believe it or not, I just traded my 03 VMax for the FZ6. It should be quite the difference but I think it was a good trade. My wife likes to ride with me but she won’t unless I have a passenger backrest. I haven’t seen any online for the FZ6. Have you? The suitcase will be good for long trips but doesn’t seem like it would be very well suited for daily driving.

FZ6 as a sport tourer
Tuesday, October 12th, 2004This is my FZ6. I bought it in March of 2004. I use it for two-up sport-touring and light commuting. With the 52 Litre GIVI top case and 25 litre tank bag, I can pack for two for four days. I can pack more if I can convince my wife to leave her travel hair dryer at home. If we were doing a longer trip, sight seeing and searching for good roads, I could pack more by leaving the two pair of tennis shoes at home. On a trip geared toward riding, I will wear only my Gortex boots. Tennis shoes consume a considerable amount of space.
The bike is equipped with an Autocomm rider to passenger intercomm. I find it very useful. I know some guys prefer not to hear their wives when they are riding, something about they have to listen to them every day at home, or something like that. Be that as it may, I find an intercomm very useful. I enjoy conversing while riding and my wife’s job is to be the navigator. I leave it to her to tell me the route.
Other items I plan to add to the bike are a GPS and XM radio.
