Is anyone going to be there the weekend before?  I don't think kevinwilly can take that much time off work, but maybe we could do the weekend and monday/tuesday.
I'll get there Monday, will be riding NC all day Monday after a stop in Wythsville Va.

What's all this talk about slabbing down there and back and squaring tires? Screw that—we're taking back roads to Staunton, VA...then heading down the BRP!  (You could do that too y'know chornbe! We could even meet in Staunton...)

I was planning on staying in Staunton Saturday night.
Meet for dinner Sat?
It's never to early to plan.

Jamie and I are IN for Nationals!  :chili:

Just made reservations for Mon/Tue/Wed nights. Robert, I've been off the forum for a while and just saw your post about staying in Staunton Saturday night. I'm not sure yet when we'll leave---not sure how many days I can convince Jamie to be away from the kids.  But if I can talk her into leaving Saturday, we'll definitely meet you in Staunton!

Can't wait to ride the whole BRP again---last time I rode it all was for Nationals in...when was it?...can't even remember. (Sad.) Jamie's never ridden it, so that'll be fun (not to mention all the great riding around Maggie Valley).

If we go, it'll be that; buzz down to Staunton/Waynesboro, then down the BRP at speeds the federalies won't like.  ;D

Ha---I hear you on BRP excess.  :)

I forget (it's been too long)...what day is the "official ride?" Tuesday? Or Wednesday?

The official ride will be on the day you choose.  The unofficial ride will beon the other day.

I have yet to be at any STx event where i know of anyone who followed a planned route more than about halfway.  Except maybe MadJack.   :twofinger:  but he's a little - well, you know - different.

And that's not a bad thing!

That's fine---I was really just wondering which day would be the "climax" of the meet with the greatest number of people there. But I'm good being flexible...

If I had to hazard a guess, I suspect the big loop-de-loop will be Wednesday.

Just

I'm thinking it would be cool to meet in Stauton on Saturday night.

Much as I hate Stauton traffic - Hey Beans - You up for riding 12 O'clock Knob Road again?

The Howard Johnson in Staunton is clean, very motorcycle
friendly, within walking distance of downtown and I believe
was only 59.00 a night when I stayed there last year.
