Yup, and the walk will do you good if you decide to get the big burrito at Baja Bean.

You up for riding 12 O'clock Knob Road again?

Hmm...what is this "12 O'Clock Knob Road" of which you speak?"  8)

Riding a rashed-up bike is strangely liberating.

The official ride will be on the day you choose.  The unofficial ride will beon the other day.

I have yet to be at any STx event where i know of anyone who followed a planned route more than about halfway.  Except maybe MadJack.   :twofinger:  but he's a little - well, you know - different.

And that's not a bad thing!
Hell Skee I have yet to strictly stick to a planned route, mine are more of a ...guideline to areas of interest. :gerg:

That pretty much makes it unanimious  (I said maybe...)

Go to Google Maps and type the search string "12 Oclock Knob Rd, Roanoke, VA".  It might auto complete as "12 O'Clock Knob Road, Salem, Roanoke County, VA".

I used it to go from 311 to 221 and the BRP by spending as little time in Roanoke traffic as possible.

Beans & I ran into 2 local cruisers at a roadside stop on the BRP who asked us how we got to the BRP.  When I mentioned 12 Oclock Knob Rd, they told us that you can't take a motorcycle over that road.  It's too narrow, the crown is too high, the shoulders drop off sharply and there are potholes and loose gravel all over the place.  Beans had to tell the guy about 3 times that yes, that was the road we just came over before his jaw dropped.  I still don't think he believed us.

Not scenic or all that interesting; makes a better story that a shortcut.  I wouldn't go seek it out unless you are looking for a technical obstacle course.  (Then I'd take some of the roads up to Red Knob.)  But we both agreed it was fun.  And would probably do it again.

Nice, Single R will be there too!

I'm thinking of riding the HD Golf Cart up to the mountains for this meet.   :D

There are several 600 and 700 roads just SW of there.  I can never remember which is which, they all run together in my mind.  Everytime I head up to 311, I try to find a different one to ride.   :smiley_thumb:

I wonder how many know the meaning of Single R Gary?  ( <--- Chris, I intended this without a coma.  I intentionally didn't type "...meaning of Single R, Gary").

I could strap two these on the back to store my luggage and get me an HD golf shirt with cutoff jean shorts, HD logo tube socks, and sandals.
