Microwaved fish will take over an office in short order; the smell permeates every inch.

By similar logic, it's hard to know how any microwaved leftovers are going to react until you nuke them, and I sit at my desk if I eat lunch. Nobody needs to smell the sauerbraten and cabbage from last night, so it's kinder to just never nuke lunch.

Me walking into coffee room, seeing young intern guy walking out with a coffee: How's the coffee holdin' out? We need to make a fresh one?
Intern while walking past mumbling: Nah, I didn't feel like it.....
Me: chuckle....
I lift up the pots...he wasn't kidding. Both empty.
Me: makes a pot...

There are signs in the breakrooms on each operating floor stating we're not allowed to pop popcorn in the microwaves.  People have complained that the noise is distracting to them.  Really!?

If we must have popcorn, we're to go the larger breakrooms on the 2nd or 15th floors to pop it.

I would have gone to find him and taken his coffee from him and poured it down the sink.

All of these posts make me happy for the social isolation I receive in exchange for working from a home office.

Which is a very sad commentary on the workplace in general.

Do you know if he actually knows how to make coffee? Or was he just a lazy FF?!

Can't say for 100% certain, but we have an automatic grinder and a water feed line. It is literally dump the old grinds out, put in a filter (stored on top of the machine) push a button to grind, then push a button to brew. He has been here for at least 6 months, so.....

I'm guessing a lazy FF. Ya know he didn't say he didn't know how, just didn't feel like it. I wanted to go all R. Lee Ermey.

I only ask because when I was teaching at our LE ACADEMY, we had students who didn't know the first thing about making coffee.
