looked at it longingly.
You never see a motorcycle parked outside a psychiatrists' office.

Dude, I'm sorry.
Feels like I've been here before, fuzzy then but still so obscure........

Technically it was yesterday... but I did an oil change and discovered two broken engine guard mounts  :-(

Not today but on Saturday I rode the VFR and M.Brane rode his VFR and we showed JonS around Highway 33, Lockwood Valley, and Cerro Noroeste.

Washed the 2 months of bugs off the FJR in preparation of putting some new ones on.

Told Stan my mechanic (conveniently located about 1/2 mile from my house) that he should go ahead and bleed the brakes and the clutch while he puts on the smaller sprocket up front (on the Tuono...). Can't wait to ride it!

Is it that time of year again already?

Changed the oil/filter on both bikes in prep for the long white.

Much to my surprise, it stopped raining and the temps climbed. So I did the only thing a sane person could do. I made sure the new oil filter was well saturated by riding the bike for 200km.  ON the way home, I picked up some Seafoam, stopped at the Shell, dumped a few ounces of Seafoam in the tank, then topped it up with Premium (no alcohol) and rode it home.

Most likely my last ride of 2013 :(

Installed new engine guards on the 1150 GSA.  The OEM guards failed at the mounts on both the top and bottom pieces on one side.  As much I love the OEM guards because they make great leg rests,  I got these for less than half the price of just a couple pieces of the OEM part.

Took a short ride to note the improvement from a new chain/sprocket set and basically put it away. Haven't ridden 100 miles since  sept.Guess I am done for the year.

I put Sta-Bil in the tank and hooked up the battery charger.

It started snowing today.

Took the '94 VFR out for a little canyon romp after doing a carb cleaning, and complete fluid change. The carbs were pretty grungy, and it runs much better now. Got some nasty petro residue goop out of the clutch master. It also shifts a bit better with the Mobil 1. Don't know what was in it, but it was pretty watery coming out. According to the PO it was changed back in March at 124K. Nearly 130 on her now.
