On the speedy adjusted the chain and lubed it. Checked the front brake fluid.

Now i just need some warm weather to wash it. It's so dirty that i can't tell it's black.

I should add it was 36 outside and 72 in the garage.

Threw on the winter shield. Just in time for the snow to melt and the 55 degree weekend to arrive.

Adjusted the location of the Heat-troller on the Duc...put a coat of wax on her...and basically got ready for a ride this weekend.

I tried my BT/Autocom set up for the first time to stream Pandora on my ride. Volume waaaaaaaay to low. Need to look into that.

I took a crapton of measurements on my bike to give to my artist buddy so she could scale up the decals she's making for me. Hoping to have the bike custom-painted with the new decals in time for Spring.

Rewired the Heat-Troller so it works right - that is, works in gradient instead of 100% on. (*that was a tad warmish yesterday)

Re-connected the Marc Parnes visual alert for the radar detector (*accidentally pulled the wires…AFTER I buttoned everything up!)

Lubed the chain, and figured that I'm going to have replace it during the 15k maintenance in a month.

I turned it around in the garage so it was facing the door. Gotta be ready for the Turkey Pro National this weekend. Assuming the snow and ice clear out enough for me to get across the state.

I damned near dumped the FJR in the garage putting it up on the center stand and I think I pulled something in my elbow too.

That new (lighter) Triumph Explorer is looking better all the time.

My Google-fu shows a wet weight difference of about +70 for the FJR. At any rate, my point was that I'm leaning towards a smaller, lighter machine.

Ran a cool little fuse box and cleaned up the mess of wiring to all my doo hickies on the bike. Much cleaner though I still need to connect the switched power but I am lazy and it is cold in the garage.

That sucks. It still fascinates me how much different your weather is 2-2.5 hours away.

The DR350 rebuild is continuing nicely. Over the past couple weeks, I've rebuild the front forks, rear shock, swing arm pivot and tore down the wheels to install new rims and spokes from DNA. The exhaust has been sandblasted, cleaned and painted with Rustoleum spray bomb hi-temp gloss black. Triples, skid plate, foot peg mounts and a few other pieces have been blasted and painted gloss black too.

The hubs will be going to school with me on Thursday for bead blasting and prep for their paint job. Reassembly is about to commence.

A big box from Rocky Mountain ATV/MC just came yesterday with new tubes, rim strips, handlebars, grips and a few other necessities.

Mostly minor things to the bikes. We got snow and ice yesterday. I'm already wishing for spring so I can get out and ride more.
