Ed, more info on that scan tool please.
HF ?
Bikes only?
Price?
Do you like it?

thanks.

Just a Harbor Freight cheapy. It was around $60.00 5 years ago. Does exactly what i want it to do. No need to spend big bucks for a good one.

BTW The Triumph diagnostics tool was $950.00.

You can also pickup a OBD2 -> USB cable for about 10 bucks on Amazon if you want to use you laptop as the scan tool.  I've used that route for several years and it works great.

removed all the plastics to get the headlight out to wire up the heated grips last night. at that point my bride came out and asked me if I wanted to go for a beer or was I going to play with my new girlfriend all night? Guess I will finish the grip install tonight. ;)

Finished the heated grip install and as much as possible back together. James from Superplush called last night to let me know my forks are on the way back to me :), so I will hopefully have it all back together by Wednesday as it's supposed to be 47...

Was changing the fork oil on the FJR and found the rebound dampening rod sticking.

I think that explains why the front end was acting a little weird.

Took it to a friend that does suspension work and he is locating a supplier that has the new bands. A new rod would be around $340.00.

Well, that really depends on the goal, doesn't it? If sheepstagging isn't the goal - and really, who hasn't considered it from time to time - then 2nd star to the right and straight on 'til morning.

Installed the BMW rear fender extender and Bob's BMW delivered my small plate and roundel for the rear fender of the RT.  Cleans up the OEM holes left for the rear fender extension and extra brake light.  Cleans things up nicely back there, and who doesn't like a neat and tidy rear end?

Yoga pants for BMWs?

I am hoping to dust my bike off and ride it this weekend.
