Baptized the Connie today.

Via Twisties?    ???

Or, did you get drenched in precipitation?

If it's the later, remember that I wasn't there today.  :twofinger:

I suspect you were somehow remotely involved.  4 Days of sunshine was a long stretch.

GD thunder boomers.

It was good seeing you again. Glad you could make it.

Here's the story.  We pulled into a gas station to decide whether to weather gear.   While we're gassing up -under a canopy - it starts to drizzle.  Decision made. Then it starts to pour.  Then we heard hail on the canopy.  We waited it out, geared up, and got caught in some drizzle on the way back.  Cooled it off nicely.  Getting caught in the rain isn't always that bad compared to the alternatives.

I took the most direct path home yesterday which took me thru the Nantahala Gorge where I got to ride thru a severe thunderstorm with all the trimmings. Then I got dumped on again coming out of Murphy. Oh well, two great days of riding over one not so good day is a deal I'll take anytime.

Thanks Skee for putting the meet together. Small crowd but high quality no doubt  8)

After running 32 from morehead to wv, i ran 37, 10, 3, 214, and 14 up to parkersberg. The skys looked wicked so i stopped to put on my rain gear before doing the last little bit of slab up into marietta oh. A couple miles up the road and all bell broke loose. Rain going every way you can think. I have never in my life seen so many cars pulled off the side of the road. Silly me kept on going. After seeing the link about the lafayette hotel in the esto thread, i thought i would check it out. So far seems pretty sweet. Will report more once i bave checked out the bar!   :beerchug:
