I did.
I was trying to pack as light as possible,  but because of today i had to pack cool weather gear.
Doubled my mileage for the year today. Have had squat for riding this year, 400 miles. Did 300 slab and 200 twisties. I am truly impressed with the pilot road 4. On the sprint, i think it is the best handling tire i have had on it.
Ended up in huntington wv  for the night. Pleasantly surprised, what a cool little town. Had a nice maibock at a tap room and a good dinner with a couple southern tier 2x ipa at a local sports bar.
Heading back to the hotel for a good nights rest, then.........kentucky tomorrow!

You always profess such a positive attitude.

Scott &. I made it to Beckley.  Inn for the night.   I logged 538 miles for the day.   Rode down to the old bridge under the New Bridge.

The stock tires on the Connie are the worst.

I wanted to stop by there to see black dog salvage. The store looks cool and they seem like one of the more unscripted shows. Unfotunately, im not going that far east.

It's a college town.  That helps!  I glad you're having a good time so far!

We made up for it today.  TN, VA, NC, back to Johnson City NC.  Rode 16 Tazewell to Marion, aka Backbone of the Dragon, then the Snake, then Blowing Rock Highway.  16 Never fails to impress, especially that section just south of Tazewell.  Closest thing to riding the Dolomites on our side of the Big Pond.

Yep.   Yep, it was so hot today we didn't even have to warn up our tires.   Just hit the twisties.

You enjoy the cool Northern weather as you're slabbing across the flatlands on your way to Clays.
