Nicky may be wishing he was still riding a Duc?

Cal seems to be struggling compared to the other Ducs on the grid.

Cal is overrated, I expect quiet Dovi to quietly  outperform him in 2014.

If you go to motgp.com and look at "analysis" in "results and statistics" you gonna find M1s of Aleix and Edwards are dog slow. Like 10 kmh compared to factory/tech3 Yamahas, or 10 mph down on Ducatis and factory Hondas. Hayden`s Honda is even slower. He needs to put that red triangle on the back of his bike or people will run into him on straightaways.
I guess  soft tire gives tremendous advantage , of course everyone says you won`t be able to use it in the race.

Anyhow, first 4-5 laps will be interesting but in the second part of the race I expect factory Hondas and Yamahas on top.

Ducs can use the soft tires. Like tomek said, it looks like they can't race with them because they can't go the distance. It ought to help in qualifying.

The tire thing is making it even harder to figure out what's going on. The timing charts I've seen don't say what tire they're on. Dovi's fast times were on softs. I'd guess Ianonne's were. Tires don't matter as much for Crutchlow because they're often pointing up.

Okay, I just looked at the FP3 times and I'm genuinely scratching my head. I really expected the factory guys to be back up on top by now.

Dovi - 4th
Marquez - 5th
Lorenzo - 7th
Rossi - 9th
Pedrobot - 10th
Crutch(very)low - 12th

Huh. Can't  wait to see the qualy times.

Yeah, me too.
Well, it's not boring, which was probably the whole point.

On the extra fuel load: Nicky says the 24 liters given to the Open teams isn't that big a deal since his bike only holds 22 anyway.

0.6 sec separates 1st and 10th place, I still say we`ll see usual suspects on top in the second part of the race.

So you're calling Pedrosa, Lorenzo & Marquez on the podium?
