I logged my longest mileage in the saddle today - 520 miles - back home from Clay's. I dozed off a few times. I also determined that "Let It Go" from Frozen is a great tune to belt out on the back of the bike at a high rate of speed so there's enough road/wind noise so Cablebandit can't really hear me!.  :o
I used to make a bigger impression.

Put 120 on the KLR.  Unfortunately, home was about 160 miles....as mentioned elsewhere, stupid tire.  Thanks for the lift Clay.  And thanks to brother-in-law Cal (who won't see this) for hanging out with me at the side of the road.

I rode in Region 4 today.
The back way to Mackinaw City (thanks for the map, CLAY :bigok: ). Two way traffic in one lane with hidden driveways - yet posted 45mph. Damn. Oh, and also sand in every corner. Damn again  .
It was perfect.

It's what we do!  You bailed me out with the KLR a couple weeks ago.
I wonder how many "been there" maps I can put in here?

Alas, when I got there there were about 20 people and 6.2 metric tonnes of blood sucking insects in line ahead of me. The projected wait time was more than an hour so I pressed on. :(

this right here -- t-shirt!
We had two bags of grass, 75 pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

I rode this morning in 56 degrees.  What a great way to start a Wednesday.

Overheard a couple of cubes down, "Well it's raining, so he rode." "Does he even own a car? and "Man! look at that rain coming down, must be about time for Max to leave."
