I blew out my lower back a week ago.. The immobility and the stuck on the couch eating put 6 pounds back on. Today, for the first time in a week I am pain free and back on the exercise and containing what I eat.


So today 255lbs.

I will weight in again at the end of the week to see whats what.

This past Sunday is one year since the wife and I started out low carb lifestyle. We hit our first goals pretty quickly so the challenge has been to keep it off. We have pretty much adjusted our lifestyle to eat minimal carbs and it seems to work. I have not been on a scale in a while and this morning I weighed in at 201lbs. The wife weighed in at 114lbs BTW (I am up 2 lbs and she is up 2 lbs as well) so it has pretty much been a success. Having said that we agreed on doing a phase II. My new goal is 195 and hers is 110. Then we will see if we can keep that weight off for another year.  8)
I don't know how to act my age, I have never been this old before.........

4 months ago 278. Last week 244. Getting there.

As I went in for a scheduled check up and blood draw, the Dr. said a word that scared the crap out of me. "Diabetes"

I beat cancer back in '08, that was scary. But when the Dr. said Diabetes, I was done. Quit drinking, started watching the sugar intake. cut my intake of total food down a lot.

The wife is really hatin'.....lol
