there's a bloke at work who has just bought the Husqvarna version. It's prettier and a better bike.

The Nuda 900 is so far from a Husky version of the F650/700/800 to make any direct comparison meaningless.  Everything from the bore, stroke, compression, crank, etc... Has been changed.  And the Nuda is a large supermoto or standard, whereas the BMW is an adventure bike, especially the 800 version.  The F800R, which was dropped, would be a closer march, but before selling off Husky BMW gave the Nuda the warmed over motor knowing it was going to be a more niche bike.

Dang - so many choices of crash bars.  The SW Motechs are back ordered for a couple weeks; I finally decided on these new style Givi's.

http://www.sporttour.com/products/494-BMW-F-650-GS-F-700-GS-F-800-GS-Twin-Accessories/3596-GIVI-TN5103-Engine-Guards-BMW-F800GS/

Here's a link to some good pics of them mounted: http://s263.photobucket.com/user/t-bhobbs/media/GiviBar11_zpsa0179e25.jpg.html

Also ordered her the Givi skid plate and top case mounting plate.

Let me know what you think of those crash bars. They look REALLY wide in those pictures.

Got my GSA out and rode Rue down to Morton's yesterday to pick up her bike.  They were short-staffed so the owner wound up completing the transaction.  If the weather's good this weekend we'll take a joyride.

After riding back to MD with her in traffic, one think I think her bike would benefit greatly from would be more lights up front.

Hockey season starts April 18!  Riding season starts whenever I can get a babysitter.  Any offers?

I agree and as soon as I save up a few more dollars I'll be adding another set of Motolights to the front calipers. I had a set on the FJR and they were awesome.

Yay Rue!!  Nice ride!

We've been driving past Morton's alot lately.  Just not when they've been open.  Its always been really early on Saturday morning heading down to Virginia Beach house hunting, then again coming home on Sunday.  We're doing the same thing again this weekend.

Typical.

We haven't had any offers on house yet and we're still looking for THE house down there.

Pretty much any weekend I'm not working we are down looking.  Don't forget dinner this Thursday night is at our house.

The Nuda 900...
I did not know about that one.
Very interesting - but I don't think my license could endure it.
What's with the front fender / beak / wing?!?
