I'm developing an unhealthy infatuation with Beemer...this should be interesting.

It will cure itself......

Blue, was it you who has your BMW towed and the towing company tore up the bike?

No, mine was the possessed thumper ( ) that was cursed for me and then for Giaka and then hovmaven.  He managed to sell it to some poor non-STN'er and so its lore is now sadly unknown. Hopefully it was never parted out or else the evil will have spread across the land.
Hockey season starts April 18!  Riding season starts whenever I can get a babysitter.  Any offers?

Well the CBR is listed and my new F700 has been located. Once the CBR is sold I'll be picking up the BMW.

We're in Vegas right now and Rue is renting an F700GS for a little ride.  Actually about a 2K mile ride.  I'll let you know her impressions.

Well, I guess it made an impression.  ;)

Does this mean you are buying one too?

I'll let you know what I think of mine if it ever stops snowing.

I'm sticking with my GSA; putting my F800S and possibly the Madass up for sale in the spring.  The GSA and DD750 should hold me for a while.

This is a consignment bike with less that 300 miles on it.  She'd been eyeing it for a month or so, and when we drove down to Morton's yesterday (in the snow!) she pulled the trigger, somewhat to my surprise.  It's a lowered version - with the stock seat she can nearly flat-foot it which suits her fine.

Looks like we've got a break in the weather next week so we'll ride down there to fetch it.

I hear that the little Beemer has some reliability problems. My local garage won't touch them. Get the Triumph.

So what farkles do you have on yours?  Rue's comes with a Cee Bailey windscreen which should work just fine. It also has the side racks for the black plastic briefcase-style Vario cases which I'm not keen on.  I also want to treat her to some engine guards; looking at the SW-Motechs.

I'm starting with a new seat. I've ordered a custom seat from Seth Laam and it should be here in about ten days. I ordered the Vario cases with the bike, so I am good there. I'm adding some more storage and I think I am getting the following from Wunderlich.

I'm also looking at the crashbars from SW Motech too.

Another set of crash bars I'm looking at are the Wild@Heart version.

I chatted with F800 Depot and they advised these will fit the F700GS too.

I have SW-Motech on my R1200ST.  When the soon to be ex drove over it in the garage, the boxer took no damage.

Dang - so many choices of crash bars.  The SW Motechs are back ordered for a couple weeks; I finally decided on these new style Givi's.

http://www.sporttour.com/products/494-BMW-F-650-GS-F-700-GS-F-800-GS-Twin-Accessories/3596-GIVI-TN5103-Engine-Guards-BMW-F800GS/

Here's a link to some good pics of them mounted: http://s263.photobucket.com/user/t-bhobbs/media/GiviBar11_zpsa0179e25.jpg.html

Also ordered her the Givi skid plate and top case mounting plate.
