No more bike till the rut is over.  Waaaay too many deer being pushed by man and nature into oncoming traffic for my liking.  I see a fresh carcass or two daily on my commute, not tto mmenti. The upright and moving ones.
I saw a dead one on the side of the road sunday - across the street from the deer crossing sign!!

Cool and foggy this morning.  First time in those conditions using the Pinlock visor I got last Christmas.  Pinlock visor for the win!  How did I go so many years without one?

As a wise man once said, "They should all be sausage and gloves." I used to see 12 dead deer regularly every year on my commute of 40 miles. I just followed a cage through deer alley or kept my speed down. Since I moved, I see maybe 3 for 50 miles. Either way, I'm riding. This time of the year is the best!

I rode today.  It was glorious!  I will probably ride fourstring's Ninja tomorrow for a shakedown cruise before our trip this weekend.

where ya going?
We had two bags of grass, 75 pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

I did. My favorite, 46° and rain. Well, not when I pulled out of the garage, but 15 minutes in to my 60 minute commute. But it's clearing up! Supposed to hit 51°!!! ;D

Couldn't take it anymore.  Rode the Harley home from the shop.  It was brisk.

49° and sprinkles on my commute home. Mrs. Wedge didn't figure out I rode in the rain all day, so I got away with it. No disapproving looks. Yay me.

You think.

That's why I ended my 4 day trip on day three. It was supposed to be 32° Thursday morning in Tomahawk Wi. That ride home wouldn't of been any fun.
