So I just had my eyes Lasered...

Yesterday at 3pm I had my eyes Lasered.

I've worn thick glasses since 2nd grade. 

So this is what the rest of the world sees.  Wow.  24 hours in and I'm just wow.

I think what's most impressive is the clarity of depth perception…clarity all throughout depth.

Amazing.  Just amazing.

(my eyes are starting to take a dive - reading small model number / version number labels on home networking boxes is my downfall - certainly nothing to complain over)

Thanks Jim!

And I take it back - the most amazing thing is not being shackled to a fear of blindness - the the blindness that happened whenever I took my glasses off.   8)

Good luck. Everyone I know that's been lasered still wears glasses part or full time.

Reading glasses don't count.  I'm not at all expecting to overcome that.  Being a young 44 means anything shy of a full eye transplant with a teenage non-smoker means I'm screwed.

Congrats! I would love to it, but at 53, I wonder what would be the point?

Not true...I know you, I have been lasered since 2000 - the only glasses I wear are my sunglasses.
My wife (whom you have not met) and I had eyes done on the same day - neither of us have had any issues.  It's been awesome.

I do get a little bit of a starburst thing at night - but nothing major.

I wore glasses since 1st grade - they were thick enough to burn ants with the sunlight.

Congrats!  That is totally cool.  My wife checked into it- her vision is bad enough and her lenses are thin enough that at this point it's not an option.  Of course, that explains how I was able to land her...   :bigsmile:
