I would be thrilled to be wrong. There’s nothing I want to do more than ride in the USA in the places I know where the roads are unbelievably fantastic. The riders that have easy access to North Carolina or Tennessee or West Virginia or or or are so lucky. I have the 401.😢
The very few interesting roads around here I’ve ridden so many times that they’re boring now.
This pandemic has changed everything. And from the reading I’ve done (that’s mostly what I do now) it appears that this is just another pandemic in a line of future ones that will arrive in increasing frequency. The problem is that humans are affecting the natural world so much that animals will increasingly infect us. The number of infectious diseases coming from animals is over 40,000 and counting.

Thanks for the perspective.  I live right near some of the best that WV has to offer.  I'm going to try to appreciate that more very soon.  :)

Should I be looking for another passion? (Doing puzzles, eating everything in sight, reading my 29th Trumpocalypse book, arguing with my wife about who misplaced the tv remote, counting the Canada geese on the pond, repainting the bedroom over and over and over again...)
Or maybe posting much ado about nothing on Internet forums with people I’ve met once or twice or never?
