What bike for me?
« on: November 10, 2013, 08:18:01 PM »
So, I've recently been reading about riding, and I'm thinking about giving it a shot.  What bike would you recommend for a new rider?  I'm free weekends and evenings; that's when I take time off from my day job.  I'm not sure I'll have time for any big trips soon- my main gig is kind of a baby-sitter, and the kids are crazy lately.

Are you sure you're spelling your name right?

A chromed out Hyabusa w/ an extended swingarm & a Nitrous bottle. Or a Ninja 250.

Scooter.  Preferably a Vespa.  They are great to start on, plus motorcyclists LOVE waving at them.   :)

You are going to hear a lot about ATGATT...nah, don't worry about it.  Tennis shoes and a t-shirt is really all you need.

Yep.  I'm a non-traditional motorcyclist.  One that doesn't ride- yet.  I'm looking at it though.  I recently found a spot with lots of info.  It's a pretty cool site.  That said, I hope this one does well too!

You sir are wrong. I am going to have to disagree w/ you this time. You need shorts & a tank top/wife beater. If you're a real bad ass you should wear flip flops because the laces from tennis shoes can get caught on stuff & that's dangerous. I still love you though.

Agreed.

If you're serious, you might be better off posting at "that other site", where people might actually respect the idea of you wanting a motorbike, instead of assuming that you're just pulling legs.

If you're serious,

Are we supposed to be taking this seriously? I was rather assuming that this was NOT Dwayn.
