BIL just rode the Butt Lite rally
« on: July 11, 2016, 03:21:20 PM »
6 days of riding. He finished, completing 6000+ miles. He said 80% of it was 2-lane. very little interstate. Significant gravel and dirt. He placed 16th out of about 80 and would have been top 10 but he miscalculated a 4800 point sleep bonus on leg 1.

One of the commandments of rally riding is don't do any work on your bike the few days before you leave.

Awesome - did he qualify for the big show now?

Some day...
You may find yourself living in a shotgun shack  -You may find yourself in another part of the world
You may find yourself behind the wheel of a large automobile- You may find yourself in a beautiful house with a beautiful wife-
You may ask yourself, well, how did I get here?

He had already been accepted to ride the iron butt rally next year before he rode this one.

He got a few drops of rain is all. Heated gear failed so he was cold for a couple stretches.

Some day...

That's usually has a non-draw entry offer (not discount or free entry) for the winner of some rallies.  That list was made some while back.
