Well, the carb rebuilds didn't fully take, or perhaps the petcock rebuild (which I didn't do) didn't take; there was a puddle of gas under the bike this morning, so it looks like my evening will be spent tearing into it to figure out if I've got sunk float to deal with, or the petcock needs further attention. Wheeeeeee
Pah! I went through that on my B12. My petcock was slightly warped, and the vacuum seal didn't seat fully. Most guys switch to a pingle- I'm wondering if they all warp with high miles and I'm one of the first to figure it out. I sanded it back down flush and it works perfectly again- although now it's thinner...
Aaaannnnnnd... It seems to have resolved itself. (sigh)

The best kind of (non)repair!

Tank ran out of fuel? Well at least it stopped leaking fuel
Nah, I think what happened is this (as I found some sludgy watery crap under the bike)...
I found what looks like sludgy, rusty water under the bike, so I'm hoping that was stuff that was trapped in the fuel pump or something, and it purged it when the fuel kinda just sat there a while. What I think I'm hoping happened is the water/sludge was trapped in the carb's float valve, and was eventually pushed out when the carb overflowed. It's the only theory I have that makes any sense on why it *did* leak/spill over, but hasn't since.
