Bosch dishwasher E15 error help with disassembly please
« on: Yesterday at 12:31:05 PM »
Error E15. Many times before. Tired of calling a repair guy.

I cleaned out the trap in the bottom of the washer but this bit is obviously clogged.

How do I get this piece off the side?

Based on that pic, you're using WAY too much detergent. If you can get it to run, use 1/2 cup of vegetable oil.

Also based on that pic, I'd say someone used dish liquid instead of dishwasher detergent. DW detergent does not suds.

:scraching of head:

What would the veggi oil do?  Counteract (base/acid) the detergent?

I would imagine the oil would lubricate the seals too.

We have a Bosch and occasionally get that error too.  It usually happens if I pre-rinse greasy dishes, but don't get all the dish soap off.  As kneescrubber says, the extra suds will do it every time.

Top of the vacuum break you're wanting to rip off the side has suds in it. It should not.
