Bradley Smith is out for Silverstone. Ligament damage to his right knee after a practice crash for one of the endurance races. Bummer to miss your home GP.

Fun fact: We'vet had 6 different winners in the last 6 races. The record in the premier class is 7 different winners in 7 races. So, can someone win who isn't Marquez, Lorenzo, Rossi, Iannone, Miller, or Crutchlow?

BBC Weather predicts dry and partially sunny conditions for Sunday.
http://www.bbc.com/weather/2641430

Cool temps with a chance of precipitation tomorrow and Saturday. That alone eliminates Lorentho. He is only happy with dry and hot conditions. Those conditions allow him to load the front tire. He still has not figured out the new Michelin tires and the new ECU.

Rossi is doing better with the new ECU since he actually spent the early part of his career racing the killer 2 smokes. He's happy to use his right wrist to control the bike. http://www.crash.net/motogp/news/233197/1/rossi-silverstone-fun-but-demanding.html

Marky Mark rules the roost right now. He has won in the wet and dry.

whut's really amazing to me is the top 3 riders have had multiple dnfs and they still lead the rest of the pack by considerable points.  :headscratch:

Maverick ?? The Zuke likes cooler conditions. If cool and dry I think he stands a chance...

maybe the "win it or bin it" theory really does work?

I think it has more to do with everybody binning it this year. Marquez, with the big lead, is actually the only rider to score points in every race. Yes, he crashed at LeMans, but he remounted and finished 13th.

Qualifications:  That's as fun as it can get. Except I hope Dovi's okay.

As for pole, I'll be rooting hard for him tomorrow but...

must...not...pick...him. Don't...do...it!  Must... not...

Correct me if I'm wrong but the cutoff to make your picks is 15 minutes before the posted race start?

I have dry and wet rosters. I'll be watching WUP tomorrow and waiting until the last minute to make my picks.

Cutoff for changes is 20 minutes before the race, not 15 minutes. Don't push it too close with those last few minutes!

90 points. I really didn't expect Dovi to finish the race.

Both MotoGP and Moto2 were ones for the ages.

Well, I finally had a good week. 109 points and tied for 20th worldwide (26th officially, according to MotoGP.com). I thought I was actually going to get the first four in the correct order (I had Viñales, Marquez, Crutchlow, Rossi), but then Marquez tried that sketchy move in the final laps and took an excursion through the grass.

I got lucky with the Viñales pick because if it hadn't been both cool and dry, he wouldn't have had a chance at the win.

Moto2 and Moto3 races were fun.

Nice work! Someone's holding to EOE standards.

Only 83 pts. because, no, I  didn't pick him. I'm getting better, though. At Brno, I finished 2568th. At Silverstone, I rocketed up to 2564.

Total:  1043
Overall place: 1304

Totally agree it was great racing across the classes. And we got that 7th different winner. Fun day to watch.

Next week will see a rejuvenated Lorenzo. No rain and hot. The usual Mediterraneans will rise to the top.

Well, let's wait for Motodog to check in. Considering he said this...

Maverick ?? The Zuke likes cooler conditions. If cool and dry I think he stands a chance...

...I wouldn't be surprised if he racked up 25 points by picking Mavy Mack for the win.
