Yeah, you'll slide around a lot at the speeds* we'll be traveling with street tires.  But, you could take most of this route w/ street tires (unless it rains).


* I did this stretch at 70+ and felt like a Dakar racer.

True dat. At Blackwater Falls you need to keep booze on the down low. Plus you can ride PR-whatever nearly right out of the parking lot. But Canaan Valley also has the prime rib buffet...

I'm not sure how this will sit with most people, but I just priced the most basic rooms for the Friday and Saturday before Memorial Day Weekend and rooms are $125 / night using my AAA rate.  That's about +$10-$15 / night more than most Hampton Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties.  Heck, I've paid more for Hamptons and HIEs. 

Given the location (fairly remote) and the amenities, I'll end up scheduling the event here.

Do they still have that little campground.

I'd like to come back in April, love the roads.

I'm assuming the plan is everyone roll in Friday evening, ride Saturday, head home Sunday?
