I keep googling for verification of the Triumph Street Triple 800 RT.

Very cool, if it happens. A little more umph is about all the current one needs to be perfect. Even now, I still feel like it's a special event, every time I take it out.

actual temptation that we could possibly afford...  RC51, 6th gen VFR, used RSV4, or 04 R1.

I just accidentally acquired an Rc51 myself. Full on track bike, but whee! I love me some V-twin sport bike.

I'm pre-tempted by the 1290 GT, after riding the 1290 SD. I also shop shop shop for used bikes, but with no intent to buy; the RC was pretty much too good to walk away from!
