This is not a trip report. It’s a collection of pictures I took while in Southern Italy earlier this year. One of my favorite pastimes is snapping pictures of bikes (and food), and roads that as my wife says, “I’ll bet you wish you had your motorcycle on this road. “ Thought I share them for your viewing pleasure.

loginWe met this couple sitting down to dinner, and ended up dining with them again the following night. They were laid up for a couple of days waiting for parts to arrive from Germany. Walter’s English was not the best, and my German is deplorable, but some untranslatable part on their BMW failed while they were riding in the nearby mountains. We showed each other pictures of our bikes, family and friends; talked about twisty roads and crazy Italian traffic.
