Four Days in France

I, Steve and two others are planning a short break in Northern France. No routes planned, but probably Normandy-which is gorgeous.

The trip is planned for 3rd October, probably taking the Newhaven/ Dieppe ferry.

I wil ride the elderly VFR750, and Steve will be on his Suzuke 1100, which is a good 20 years old.

Unsolicited, I know, but:

The Chateau and Musée de Dieppe; the Auberge Colvert, Route D928 south of Abbeville (nice food without having to enter the town); Rouen (nice city and cathedral); Amiens (nice cathedral). Chartres is lovely, but it is so popular you really have to book in advance.

Thanks! I know Normandy fairly well and the Paris area-that's about it.

Oh-I know the South pretty well too.

Trip is on for Friday. Newhaven to Dieppe, then down to Honfleur.

Sent via flyiing spoons from La Belle France.

Came oover on the Newhaven/ Dieppe ferry. Trip report will commence tomorrow, when I'm less tired.

A bit more interesting than I had hoped, so far.
