I'm pretty sure you got all of the details.  Of course, that's because we are still up there in the wilds somewhere near Nakusp...
Then you're ripped right out of the ground like a fucking root.  No, you simply cannot hide from the ugly truth.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle...

This ride report has a few loose ends ... Er...endings.  Robert ?  Enquirer minds need to know !

 :)

Loose ends, with this group?

Ok, maybe one or two or three!

We debated the meaning of life...discussed current events in Dagestan, solved whorled peas and decided that ABS and Traction control were worthy tools to be on a motorcycle.  Even Seth, the Great NaySayEr had to admit that ABS was miraculous in it's own right.

I'm not sure he ever really trusted it but it never let him down.

Our path led us along a wonderful little river...

And the destination, as usual, was lunch.

I was still hungry though.

Our Destination...Castle Gar.

Or something like that.   ;D

Bubba Z - we owe you a debt of gratitude.  You gave us shelter in a foreign land...you fed us...you clothed us...well, no.  Maybe not that last one.

But you are a saint in our books!   :beerchug:

The Sun set over Castle Gar...and we met the famed owner of Arai!

Err, sorta.  Well, no, not sorta.  Not even close.  Well, maybe.  He was a foreign exchange student living in a strange land (*by comparison, it had to be strange relative to Japan...but I digress.) and his name was indeed Arai.

Dinner was heaven with friends.

And it was here that I made two shocking discoveries.

1.  I'd lost my iPhone at one of the last stops.  I'm sure it's sitting in a roadside stop, in the parking lot, next to two stubbed cigars.

and...

2.  I'd left my Passport and the Maps behind in our last hotel stop.  700 miles past.  A solid 14 hour round trip no doubt.

   :baldy:

PS: To answer the unspoken:  the delays in updates were NOT because I was spending time in a Kanadian Gulag for demonstrating proper track day form on public roads.

Because, well, it wasn't that!

From that angle the F800 reminds me of Bill the Cat...
