One of my "kids" crashes out.
« on: June 25, 2014, 06:33:11 PM »
One of my "kids" was racing at Pikes Peak, but unfortunately he crashed out in practice, 2 turns from the top. He is relatively unscathed considering he tucked the front and went over the edge.

*I say "one of my kids" because he lived with us for a few years while he was going to college here. My wife and I have taken in a few kids over the years for various reasons, but he was a total motohead. He will be back! I'm as proud as a pseudo-dad can be.  ;)

I'm very glad to hear he's OK.  How in the Hell are you going to get that bike out of there?

Not sure how they got it out. Rock broke the engine case, and the gas can contained oil dry. He has some bruised ribs and a broken foot.

Have you seen the Honda from Heaven video yet on you tube?

I have no idea how to embed via the iPad.

I remember the old "Falling Rock" sign, but falling bikes? Yikes!

Wow--crazy he came away from that.  Where's the road (is that where the picture was taken from)?  However far away it is, I wouldn't want to go that far off the road over that terrain.  Glad he'll be okay.

I believe that was from the roadway. I will find out more when he is back home.

Yikes! Glad he's mendable!
We had two bags of grass, 75 pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.
