Are there any towns that begin with 'X'?  My grand quest may go unfulfilled...

How about this? http://www.ofxb.ch/

The François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory ( OFXB ) is located above the village of St-Luc in the Alps, near the town of Sierre in the canton of Valais in Switzerland.

Thank you so much for the pictures.  We are already planning a Germany-Switzerland trip for when I retire in 2.5 years.  Switzerland is such an amazing place.  And I was surprised to see a Subaru Forester in the one picture!  :D  I can't wait.

What? No Zurich? No town name ending in -ikon?

I'm always amazed how different thing must be over there than here...tight streets, crowded (but cool looking) towns, all just hunkered into the mountains.

Looks like nobody does urban sprawl like us Mericuns.

They ain't makin' no more land - it's better to use it well. [/ end of rant]

While being OT, here's a good demonstration of how the Swiss work. A couple of years ago, on 1 April (April Fool's day is observed there), a radio station announced a new project. The Alps are becoming far too dirty; local, community groups were being organized to clean up the mountains. The scary thing about this: how many Swiss believed this to be a real project and supported it.

We return you to your thread, already in progress...

Some call it sprawl, some call it personal space or breathing room.  ;)
You never see a motorcycle parked outside a psychiatrists' office.

I don't live in the city, either...I like my space.
