This was mine and Sheri's first moto road trip together. We really enjoyed ourselves and Sheri is more in love with the Ural than ever.

I love the new ride. I just wished it had the cornering height of the Concours. It turns in easily and smoothly, and with a little twitch of the throttle it weight is gone. Not that you feel it much any way because it's all down low.

BUT... I still have the Connie for when I need that fix!

Somewhere along Rt 116 in Tennessee near Frozen Head State Park. We rode from Dutch Valley to Stainville to Petros. It's pristine road; pictures really don't do it justice. I'll post a few more pics later.

Might have been the same storm we got caught in. We called ahead 30 miles for a room. Clerk said a strong storm coming. We looked up at the sunny sky and figured we wouldn't be needing any stinkin' rain gear. Then we geared up anyway. Good thing too; we caught the worst of it.

It is! I mix 2:1. Jeets likes 1:2. That's why he goes for the big bottle of Honey. If we hadn't been trying to beat the rain on Saturday, I would have stopped at Valley (the one off I-81) to pick up another bottle.

Thanks for posting all the pics Frank and Gary. I had originally planned on getting over to Devil's Triangle but it looked like it would take up too much time to get there and maybe heavier traffic/hiway so we didn't do it. But it's still on my list for next time. Ceasers Head and that stone tunnel looks pretty cool too.

We hit War Woman rd. but it was being repaved. Wolf Pen Gap rd would have been really nice but it was also being repaved and we got dumped on while sitting in construction traffic. At least we know our rain gear is reliable.

Speeding on curvy roads scare me, I only do it for Rita. She keeps yelling at me....Faster Harder! Oh wait, never mind.

BTW don't fret if pulled over in Romney WV. The town cop there is the nicest you will ever meet.
