One thing about electric motors is the instant torque.  If they can improve on the range and get these e-bikes out of the commuter category, I bet they'd be a hoot in the twisties.

Somewhat related threadjack...

How many bikes have a kickstand on their right side?  Do "other side of the road" countries from the U.S.A. have kickstands on their right side (I don't think so)?

Good question about the kickstand.  I don't believe any of the photos of this bike are real.  I believe it's a paper concept only at this point.

That's my thought too. If so, is the designer a rider who just "got it wrong or wanted it different" or are they not a rider and didn't give it any concern. No biggie - it just caught my eye.

Both that bike model and human figure look like plastic.

What is her right foot resting on? Yeah, it's obviously not real, but I like the idea. Good looking bike with a modern/retro feel.

I'm not gonna be one of those electric vehicle "haters", but I'm also not terribly interested until they can reasonably compete with dino-powered vehicles - bikes/cars/trucks/etc.

They are interesting, but I won't be an early adopter.  And, if I had my way - I'd like something that looks a little more mainstream to be taken seriously.

If they were cheap enough I could certainly see one as a commuter, and another bike for a tourer.  Of course Europe would get it first, if we ever got it...

I've noticed they added a cliky noise to cars when the turnsignals are on that sound similar to an old relay...can they add a vroom-vroom noise to my electric motorcycle too.  No matter how well they work I will struggle to accept anything without the right noise.  That is part of the motorcycle to me.
