If they put the shaft drive from the C14,
It would be (IMO) the perfect Kawasaki.

Agree.

IMO - Kawasaki makes the absolute best shaft drive system, bar none!
And really, at most about 20lbs. on a 500lb. motorcycle.

I'm not gonna say never, but if for some unknown reason I ever buy a chain drive motorcycle again, it'll have a single sided swing arm.

IF a shaft only added 20 pounds I’d go for it. Not being a mechanic or service tech, I have no idea how much one weighs. Somehow I’d imagined it would add a whole lot more.

For how long modern chains last, and how little maintenance they require, chain drive wasn’t a deal breaker either.

The 4 is smooth enough that adjustment is a very spaced thing. Mine didn't need adjusted ( first one ) till over 5 k and I was being anal as it was still in the top of the range at that point.I put it back in the middle and will see how it goes.

Never had a bike with belt drive. I wonder

Automatic chain oilers seem to do the trick. My Scottoiler makes travel easy, I just have to check the emitter tip for clogs periodically (happened once) and fill the oil resovoir about every 2000 miles. I still clean the chain, but not very often.

I should get out and take some glamor shots with Ms. Noire. I need to something good to blow up and hang in the garage. Maybe Lambeau Field or the Fuel Café in the background? Eventually planning to ride the Going to the Sun Road and revisiting Tail of the Dragon.

Hit Milwaukee again, the Fuel Café and the Lakefront. I was wanting some glamor shots in my new town. The ride started at 48F and misting, went to 52F and sunny before clouds started in from the west and the temps dropped quickly to 46F.
