"Blinky the Snowflake®" nagged at me all the way in today 32-35° the whole time. I was really hoping for 36-38°, which is really a sad thing to say.
Ride home will be 50° and sunny, so i have that going for me.

I had a new tire put on the front wheel yesterday. I had a new tire put on the rear today. The car said it was 57 on the drive home. The bank said it was 56.
So after re-installing the wheel, I went out riding for 3 hours.
It's forecast to be even nicer Thurs and Fri!

I took the family to northern lower Michigan this past weekend. I gave them a spirited ride on M-119 Tunnel of the Trees, but in the minivan (as spirited as a minivan can be). They enjoyed it. However, a minivan just doesn't capture the same thrill that the motorcycle does going through there.

I always thought it'd be a nice ride to take on the motorcycle in the fall and see the changing colors. This past Saturday was rainy and wet leaves covered the road and all I could think was "in these conditions, this would absolutely suck on a motorcycle. I'm glad I'm in the van today." However, it was still nice to revisit one of the best motorcycle roads in lower Michigan.

I got out for over 4 hrs today on the new-to-me F800ST.
I am really liking this bike! We fit each other very well.
I tired to go the the Yerkes' observatory by Lake Geneva, but they've got the access road gated off - the observatory closed permanently earlier this year. Not even able to see it thru the trees.
So I meandered around and hit a few of my favorite roads in the area, like Nature and Bluff, west of Mukwonago.
The bike encourages me to go as fast as I want, but doesn't lure me to go faster. Line corrections are easy.
I'm still learning the power band - it pulls from just over 2K, but really gets interesting above 6K. Redline is 8.5K.

It woulda been 3 hrs, but I couldn't decide wether to wear the jacket liner or two shirts and it took a few mins to find my buff (which I wear around my neck when chilled).

I did KwikTrip breakfast and lunch, because I had a giftcard (from Valentines day).
WNW of Oshkosh there was snow on the side of the road. I got a pic that shows the snow and my bike's dash-display showing 3 pm and 70.7 F.

All day! (Yesterday)
I did some work on my VStar that devolved into taking a cpl weeks. I rode it around town for about half an hour to make sure everything's working. Haddn't ridden it since last year, so it was like catching up with an old friend.
Then I took out the F800ST.
The forecast showed a narrow rain front going thru around dinner time, so I connected with an out of town friend to meet for dinner.
I went to one of my fav curvy roads -- The ST did it at a fun speed easily.
I thought I had a nice rambling route in my Nuvi, but when I selected it... it wasn't the route I thought it was. So I meandered instead of rambled. General direction reconning and occassionally checking the GPS for interesting looking roads in the area. Stops for; a snack, a drink, a small lunch, and of course gas/potty.
Usually when I'm riding for a day, I stretch my legs and walk around a bit when I stop. I forgot to do that yest, but I didn't have any problems with my legs or back side - testament to how well the ST fits me.
I went to the friends house. We took their car to dinner - a nice little mexican place in a nearby town. Had a great meal.
The rain haddn't arrived yet, so we watched Amerian Idol... The rain rolled thru as it was finishing.
I borrowed a towel to wipe off the seat and said good-bye. I took a slightly indirect route home because I didn't want to catch up to the rain. The roads were wet, but no standing water and no rain. There was also no traffic.
2.5 tanks of gas, so about 375 miles on the ST.
It was a good day.

Rode the triumph for the first time since last August.

have been riding the KLX in Street and dirt trim since then. The Sprint is no large bike but after riding the KLX all that time i felt like I was on a horse. I forgot how nice it is to have +100 HP and six gears.

Unfortunately, the Little Red Ninja is in her new Wisconsin home while I'm back in North Dakota trying to sell our house. I definitely have Parked Motorcycle Syndrome, as my only real ride of the year was to take the Old Girl to the new condo.

I'm hopeful that this situation will end in the next three or so weeks.

225 (ish, I'm not sure) miles.
Interstate to get out of Milwaukee and past big neighbor town of Waukesha.
Then meandered country highways (mostly), and spent some time on Easy St. Ya, that's how I roll, LOL.
Went to Lodi WI and the near by Gibraltar Rock State Natural Area.

Oh, Hwy 60, W of Columbus, is in pretty poor condition pavement wise.

Got out for a nice 230 mile loop yesterday before the heat wave starts today. Weather was absolutely beautiful yesterday. A nice lunch in Chelsea then out through Waterloo , Seymour, Jackson, Stockbridge, Howell and Fenton on my way home. Also got some laps in the backyard on the TW.

I took the Little Red Ninja for a short ride today. We headed north on the interstate to Port Washington, WI, where my aunt and uncle used to live. I puttered around the downtown (looked like some good bars & restaurants) before riding to look at the fam's old house. I've added the obligatory pic of the Old Girl overlooking the marina from a cliffside park north of downtown.

Afterwards, I took the long way home and cruised downtown Germantown. It also looks like some good brewpubs and such will need to be explored there, too.

Got out on all three today. Took Mrs awesome out for ice cream on the triumph. Her first time on a bike in few years. Unfortunately her back is still not up to it. Ran laps on the KLX and TW in the back. Finally gave the TW a bath. Probably been a couple years since it's last. I need to get more time on this. 20 years old and only 3400 miles. Still looks like new.
