Rode to the U-Haul truck rental in Ann Arbor on State Street, hauled the junk home from the shop and rode it back home. This U-Haul I can recommend as competent. Ward's Rental in Hamburg is an avoid at all costs IMO.

The sand at this track makes a sand trap at a golf course look like a puting green.

I commuted, but that turned out to be a mistake.

So, my co-worker is at a conference today and tomorrow. Her daughter goes to summer day camp at my school, and I agreed to take her home today and tomorrow. So, you may now see the problem with moto commuting. Thankfully, the astronomer in my department is a good friend and lent me his car so I could complete transport.

I rode the Ninja down to and around the Burlington WI area that had the flooding.
Some roads are still closed. Multiple business' still not open, including a pizza place I've been to yrs ago that has a full dumpster at the door.

Gonna get on the VStar now and go to a church festival for dinner, some music and people watching. Locking saddlebags are good for parking. If the music is good I'll have a beer.

Taking the speedy out today. Almost didn't though, started it up and had a coolant leak. Found loose hose clamp. All is good now in the universe.

Got a nice 230 mile loop in getting a photo tag on this gorgeous day. Scrubbed in the new front tire and had a few pleasant surprises. I have been disapointed the last few times riding out around the jackson area. Some of my favorite roads have gotten pretty chewed up and are nolonger fun to ride. Today, I turned onto Seymour road and found it completely repaved and i believe some more camber in a few turns all the way from Clear Lake rd (Waterloo) to Jackson.

Temporary centerline markers are still in place which slowed me down a bit. Will be very nice once the edge and center lines are in. Stobart rd on the south side of the Milford Proving grounds has also been mostly repaved. No more tar snakes on the west end. Looks like Ricky is finally spending some of our tax dollars.
