After a few emails telling me I had received an important  text message – no, I ain’t rich biches; least not that ways – I met Jeets, JJ, Spanky and his Yuppy Puppie friend (from the Audi forum) this morning for breakfast.  Then we drove to Martin’s Motorsports to see the Modern Classics show.   

Yes, we drove.  I thought it looked like a great day for a ride till I went out to get the paper.  So here are some photos from the show.

It got crowded as the temperature warmed up - so we headed home - but the only thing I started this afternoon was the snowblower.

I thought about riding over when I got up this morning.  It was sunny and the high was forecast to actually get well above freezing.  Within an hour the gray malaise came back and it still isn't out of the twenties.


Nice pics but where are the breakfast shots?

Frank, thanks for the Yankee Z pics... I found that article I was telling you guys about.. The one that hooked me on long distance riding at 15 years old.. It was in Cycle mag, 1972...  http://www.rec.us/cycle_1972_dec.html

I remember reading about Yankees and lots of other "exotics" in Cycle World.  I used to dream about owning a long distance bike, because dreaming was all I could afford at that time. Now I'm dreaming about being able to get one of them out of the garage, but the GD snowblower is in the way. :twofinger:



I use Flickr.  There's a BB link under every photo.  Just click, copy and paste. I'm sure photobucket has a similar arrangement.   



Now if one of youz guys would just be so kind as to give me a quick lesson on reading text mess....

Try putting a set of image brackets around them.  Click the icon under the B (for bold) icon in the edit menu..

Couple of pics from the 2019 show - WoW the last post was 2014 - how time flies.

Part of the real fun is seeing bikes you remember riding and the ones your buddies owned when you were young, and the ones you wish you could have afforded back when motorcycles were cheap transportation.

There were a couple super custom jobs.  And there were some real museum pieces too. 

My phone doesn't take the best pictures; could be operator interference!

Two, and one was a demo.  There would have been 3, but you forgot about the show!

I almost forgot, what with the snow.   

As I'm leaving, Wife asks "You guys aren't riding your bikes over, are you?"

And I says "We're stupid; not crazy", or did I say "We're crazy; not stupid".

Well, does it really matter.  No sense in coating your bike in salt.
