Lotus C-01
« on: February 25, 2014, 03:31:14 PM »
The latest MotorcycleUSA newsletter finally has pics of the new Lotus bike. I don't think anyone has posted them yet.

No, I'd never buy it. But it makes me smile. I think it looks totally badass.

200 horse?

pfft

call me when they have 200 horse out of a mill that size.

We can then put it in a frame that'll corner, cna give it tupperware that dosn't look like it was found on the balckboard in the dentention classroom after hours.

200 horse.

pfft
We had two bags of grass, 75 pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get locked into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can.

I heard they finally agreed to make the badge smaller on the radiator screen because of overheating problems.

Haven't heard that specific terminology before, but that's okay, I know what they're talking about.

And another point, unless you're Honda or BMW, don't build something you have no -ing clue about and do what Audi did; buy a motorcycle company.

Just sayin'.

Sent from Planet Ten by way of the Eighth Dimension.

Yes, you'll have to take half the fairing off to fill up.

Besides the looks, I can't imagine why they put forks with that much rake on it, then make the rest cafe style. :headscratch:

Good point. Maybe they should stick to making cool cars.

Let's see the numbers before we kill it.
Lotus isn't really known for making boat-anchors...

And to be fair, Lotus ONLY sold their name for this thing. They didn't actually make it.

Like much rolling art, I think it looks incredible; however like much rolling art, I'm guessing it won't be much fun to ride and will end up being a display piece for some rich dude in his living room, office, or business.  No one buys a bike like that and rides it much- I'm guessing that's also why they are only making a few.
