I made several attempts, especially after Sheri got in the hack. I even got out the snow blower and cleared a path free of snow.

My rear tires are just too worn.

I was really looking forward to getting out and about on the snow covered roads.

The chair wheel was engaged. The rear tires are shot.

Sheri added 105 lbs to the chair. We later added a 40 lbs of dog food in the trunk. No luck.

You may want to revisit This for what works in snow and what doesn't. Skinny 110 tires don't have enough contact to get anywhere in the snow.

I'm from the Texas Gulf Coast. The same principle applies to gumbo clay. Spread the weight as wide and long as you can.

Look closer it was spinning. Go to the 47 second mark and you can see where Doug burned down to the black top.

That's my back yard, not a driveway. I was on grass, not pavement.

We have a utility garage under the home to store stuff (like sidecars and lawnmowers).

And, both wheels were spinning. Select the 720p option and enlarge the image.

Excellent point.

The best I could do was lower the tires to 10psi each. Believe me, I tried everything.

Sheri was actually wanting to go for a ride in the snow. She's pretty upset I didn't get the Ural up out of the back yard the night before the storm.

I may very well try again today.

Drag it out with a truck if you have to. Look for a possible winch purchase in the future.

Our local dealer had theirs stuck in a snow bank last week. After rooster tailing it down to pavement it finally shot out.

Most moto snow tires are sized for scooters, but there are some available. Not that I looked....

Edit: was going to say "car snow tires would probably fit", but that would take this thread somewhere else.

To get it out of the yard, you could... wrap the rear wheel with nylon rope aka a tire chain.
I got my picture in the paper yrs ago when OKC had a freak snow storm. I had a DS to teach the (then) wife how to ride. I used nylon rope because the tire didn't have any traction on packed snow. I turned an old coffee table into a sled and gave my kids (and then all the neighbors) rides around the block...
Is it a tubed tire? You could 'stud' it with a drill and pop rivets....

I agree, there's a way to get out, no doubt. If only I could get two neighbors to help push, it would make it.

This area receives this level of snow about once every ten years. If I were still living in Northern WV, I'd been ready for this. But, this snow will be melted by tomorrow evening. I just thought it would be fun.

That was my thought. A typical Mid-Atlantic storm is followed by 60's and sunny the next day.
