To an extent I agree with you, and if it were just me that would probably be what I would do- but with the kids running around, I'm not quite as willing.  If it were higher, or father away, no problems.  5 1/2 feet off the ground near the pool I'm not quite as content.  Last year I had a big one in the back yard 15 feet off the ground- no problems.  This one is too close for my comfort.
