Supplemental Brake Light options?

I'm really close to having my combat commuter where I want it.  There stock brake/running light on the Versys is a tad smallish.  I'm looking for...more.  While I like the Admorelighting $200 version, I'm thinking there's gotta be a cheaper version that's as good.  Anybody have experience with such a creature?

Love my Hyper-Lites. Doesn't "take away" from OEM lights by modulating them, very bright while being small to place when installing, and can be set to be solid, blinking, or blink for a bit then go solid.

+1 on the Hyper lights.

They were an easy install and I liked the flashing mode. I had mine set for a rapid flash upon initial braking, and then slowed down to a steady red when fully stopped. The NJ DMV didn't like it (omg! Safety!) until I could demonstrate the steady red.

No experience (yet), but these are on my 'where I want it' list;
superbrightleds.com low-profile-grille-and-surface-mount-led-strobe-light-18w
I originally dismissed them because they are 18W, but they come in two color versions, which means 9W /color - and I can use a resistor if it's still to bright.
All for $24.

+3 on the hyper lights. I have never had them but used to ride with guys who did. Man those things are bright.

I'm of the opinion that the whole idea is to make sure I'm seen. The brighter the better! I bought a couple of the same lights. I have the white mounted under my headlight, to help be seen to oncoming traffic (and they light up the road decently), and the red at the back, under my topcase as an additional brake light.

After looking at the specs of the lights (0.16 - 0.32A) - I'm deducing that they mean: '18W incandescent equivalent'

I have one of these on my Tiger, you'd have to make modifications to the connectors to have it work on the Versys. It's very bright.
