The Zero Euro is a souvenir banknote with authorized printing by the European Central Bank (ECB) and is on queue to be a popular in 2018 banknote collector markets. Did you eat a Toblerone? The first thing I did when I got US citizenship was stop at McDonalds and got a 1/4 lb'r with cheese and supersize fries!

This is kinda similar--I took a college sponsored trip to Europe and a bunch of us all went to McD's as soon as we were settled in after the flight just to see if it was the same as in the States. It was.

Mmmm - that sounds good.

Unfortunately, the restaurant across the street serves less-than-good cordon blue. Otherwise it would be soooo convenient. Too convenient, actually.

It took me a while to sort out how to go about getting it, but once I did, it took less than three days in total for my Little Red Book to arrive in today's post. Application an photo Thursday morning, Postman rang the bell mid-morning on Monday. Rather efficient, one might say

Dan was "born Swiss" - even though he was born in the UK

His mom is Swiss, so he inherited it from her. That's also the reason I could apply for mine so soon: being married to a Swiss citizen makes it for a "facilitated naturalization", and I only had to wait 5 years (instead of 10) before I was able to apply.

I was born in UK, grew up in Quebec, my wife was also born in UK and grew up in Vancouver where most of her relatives live. We go up a couple of times a year (pre-covid). If we didn't live here it'd be in BC. I always feel like I'm back home when I'm in Canukistan

Same here!

We're actually planning a two week trip to BC once it is safe and sane to travel again. We'll rent motorcycles and ride through the lower province. I want to revisit all of the places I used to ride to/through when I lived in Seattle, and Dan has never been there at all (well, baring one weekend trip to Castlegar to visit bubba)
