It looks interesting.  Avant Gard advertising aside (and I want to get that invisible chain for my Ninja), the few specs that have been released and the general appearance work for me.

But for as much as I'd consider a Triumph, Milwaukee's only Triumph dealership closed a couple of years ago and they have yet to establish another dealership.  Same with BMW.  I'd think a metro area of this size would support those brands.

Styling wise it looks like the BMW R-9T.  Which of course BMW came out with to compete with the Triumph Bonnevilles & Scramblers.

Basically a Street Triple with some classic styling cues. I like the idea. Not in the market for one though.

I really don't understand the impetus for this model.  It seems to answer a question I've never heard asked.

It's an 'entry-level' bike.  The first link I posted says "For Europe, the Trident will be offered in a power-restricted version to meet A2 license requirements, but it can be restored to full power"
