Author Topic: Clear Alternatives tail lights (Read 6412 times)

I need a new tail light on the Speed Triple and it had been replaced with a Clear Alternative intergated one.

The only place i can find that crays them is Moto-lume. The web site won't let me enter an order and i called and the number is no longer in service. I also called the customer service number and just got a leave a mesage recording.

I've been trying to find another source but no luck.

Any one know where i can get them from.

Not sure I'd trust "xtreme discount cycle" though.

Does it have to be Clear Alternative? There are all kinds of other options.

Ed, smash the red lens out with a hammer. Be careful not to hit the bulbs though or you'll have to replace them!

Replace back to stock light. Change bulbs. Done.

But then he needs to replace the turn signals.

Personally, I can't stand the integrated brake/turn sigs. I know what they are and I still think it's a malfunction when I first see one 'blinking'.

If i had the stock light i probably would do that. The problem would be the turn signals. I intend to be putting bags on the side and they would be in the way.

Really? Edd is going to continue to ride the FJR till he cannot maintain it. Than he'll ride it some more.

After searching I finally found a Clear Alternative tail light on eBay for $42.00 with free shipping. The down side it was coming from China. Ordered it on Feb 17 And got it today by USPS. I don't think that was to bad.

Should be no problem. I was just curious.
I had some clear lights made that were "DOT approved". Actually they weren't, but I was at the supplier for a large OEM, and asked the guy molding them to make me some clear ones, and he obliged. They were molded with the DOT approval, and came from factory molds, but were clear.
