I know what you are thinking. "This has nothing to do with motorcycles OR motorcycle touring!"
Ah, but it's not so. I considered putting this thread in
General Sport Touring Discussion (because I did see this when I was out and about on a motorcycle and I would not have noticed it if I had not been on a motorcycle)
Region 1 (because it's a workshop in Seattle)
Ride Reports (even with my flexible moral compass I can't create a Ride Report when I didn't leave the city limits)
and of course
Triumph in
Manufacturer's Row (because I was tooling around on a Competition Green Bonneville--it's sort of like riding a Faberge egg)
After deep (okay, not that deep) consideration, at long last the place this query seems to make the most sense is in
EOE.
Here's the story. I'm doing a little cruise, enjoying the view of a sunny day in Seattle from behind the binnacles of a Bonneville that has that mahogany runabout rumble. Sounds sort of a like a two wheeled vintage Chris Craft, and with that same high quality feel.
Just making an innocent turnaround in a parking lot at the Kelly Paper warehouse, something behind a grimy overhead door caught my eye. The festive symmetry of twinkling spokes, some sort of space frame...
quick as a bunny I turned the turnaround into a full circle that left me stopped in front of that door. It opened into a workshop where someone is building wheeled vehicles. Not motorbikes, but still pretty cool.

First of all, why (although this would be cool hobby)?
And where are these used?
And why is there absolutely NO signage on this workshop AT ALL? There's no Witness Protection Program needed for people who make powered soap box derby racers, or at least not as far as I know.
Alright, my fellow Experts on Everything, what is this builder up to?
