One of the perks of my job is that I was allowed to opt for 80% work time, meaning I work four 8 hour days. Originally I had Mondays off, thinking "oooh, a long weekend would be great!" but recently I changed the day to Wednesday. Now I have two Fridays a week! And my day off is a day that the shops are open but not everyone is there.

it also means that most of the weekend warrior motorcycles are somewhere else, and not hogging the alpine passes. I decided that this Wednesday would be "Me" day and I was going to re-visit some of those passes.

I ended up taking over 300 photos (and those are the ones I kept!) but here are a few choice ones for your entertainment...

From here I only had one more pass to cross: Sustenpass. This also happens to be my favorite pass. I am not keen on switchbacks and Sustenpass has a lot more "bends" than "corners". It doesn't help that it is stunning to look at as well.

Nope, on weekends there are bikes that constantly fly up behind me so they can hit the next corner, and always some camper van in front of me blocking the next corner    Although this summer ought to be better since not so many people are traveling in Europe. And we don't have the Asian/US tourists in their rental cars, either

Thanks for those, Andermatt area is just stunning.  So easy to make a good day or 2 of loops just leaving from there.  Next time you're in the area try Klausen Pass (if you haven't already lol).  It's pretty wild and has a different character than the rest of the area.

I took a ride on Klausen a couple of years ago. It is a bit of a stretch to reach on a day ride, but I was overnight in the area with a Horizons Unlimited meet up. Definitely a nice pass, to be sure!
