This is a great bike.  But it just sits, and I need to simplify my life.  I would love to keep it but I am embracing more and more the concept of less is more in many ways.

So the 2003 FJR I purchased from an illustrious board member is back for sale to this forum.  75k or so miles, good condition because of various marks of wear in the bodywork and bags.  Silver in color with lots of really nice farkles and spanky new Bridgestone kicks.  I don't have recent pics, I figured I would just see if there is an interest. 

The girl and I flew across the country and picked up this bike sight unseen. Unfortunately never had a chance to shake hands with the owner.  We rode it back across the country like it was an XX, and it was a sweet ride. It's been used to commute and as a grocery getter since then, but it needs to get out and enjoy the road.  I added very little to it, the biggest thing was a Wilbers rear shock that Jamie Dougherty rebuilt for me....we changed that out in a driveway at the start of our journey and it did a great job with 2 up and luggage for thousands of miles.

Posting here first because this is where I got it, so $1750 and I'll do what I can to facilitate it getting to you. If anyone has an interest, I'll get fresh pictures for you. Bike is in north east Pennsylvania.

IF dude shows up tomorrow to buy Kermit, this is seriously something I could get with.

You'll get first dibs if for some reason this falls through.  (I'll write in on the wall in case I die and the executor has to deal with my stuff).

No worries.  2nd fiddle is the price I pay for daring to be away from the forum to work. 

'Tis a fine steed, carefully cared for by successive STO members (don't know who rode the first 10k -- bought it used from a dealer).

And a fine pedigree too. It carried me to my lone LD victory in the Void.

Hey SLK -- if you're the handshake, it knows your roads well. It grew up in State College.

A sweet day indeed.  We handed the FJR off to SLK and his son.  We have every reason to belief it will have a loving home and be able to roam freely for years to come.   A pleasure to meet you both.

Thank you squeezer for the use of your steed.  We got a great deal from you and were pleased to pass that on to SLK. 

The trip from CA to PA after buying the bike was a highlight for us. We were reminiscing of that as we traveled to deliver the bike today, and the only regret we had was we missed the opportunity to meet you.

I could go on, but I'll simply raise a glass to all of the really great people I've had the pleasure of meeting here.

How cool that it stays in the STO family.

You know, chornbe also "owned" that bike for a few weeks when we did a bike swap. I know it's happy to be back in PA.
