No personal use, but a neighbor at the olde place had a Swisher that he offset-towed behind his lawn tractor.  I don't recall him ever complaining about it.  It would have been about 16 or so years old (at least) the last time I saw it being used.

I have no experience with swisher but was looking at their finish mowers when we bought our property. My research looked like they were good equipment. Love a rough cut mower. I have a 5' bush hog for the back of the sport touring tractor. I just giggle as i back over a 3" tree and hear it going bop,bop, bop underneath 

Yeah, Kim already found that.  This one is rated for 3" as well.  Hope to not have to cut anything that size as I don't have much brush per se.  Just a lot of potentially tall weedy grassy bits.  This will be overkill but I also have so much rock that I want something that can withstand a bit of a beating.  Since it has something called a stump jumper, I'm guessing it's designed tough.  That savings will pay for the additional warranty taking it up to a three years.
