Apparently my daughter broke her ankle today.
Wife broke her arm last night.
Unrelated.
All while still waiting for health care coverage to be reinstated because my former employer's coverage administrator never filed my COBRA paperwork.

Sweet hell.

I mean, I feel like the fates are just waiting for me to ask "what could possibly be next...?"

I feel like they wouldn’t knock.

Update. Daughter’s ankle isn’t broken but it’s a properly nasty sprain.

That can suck worse. They can be harder to heal. Tell her to do everything the kind doctor tells her to.

They assure me it will be. Here’s hoping. Yeah all the stuff I’ve had fixed and replaced wasn’t because of bone breaks. It’s all soft tissue related.

Oh, my boss's daughter ended up in ER over the weekend too with a head injury. Results: concussion and some time off work and play, but nothing too worrisome. That's not directly connected to me, but hopefully that counts. Enough's enough. Checked today when I took Liz to the ortho surgeon; they didn't turn health insurance back on yet, though it's due to be reinstated any minute now. ** taps foot **

Talked to my daughter. She’s doing well. Going to home coming in sneakers instead of heels. She’s not letting it slow her down much I guess.

Had Liz at the ortho today. There are some bone splinters they have to take out but in the interim they want her to do RoM exercises to keep the joint from getting more swollen or locked up. She’s in miserable pain but doing it.

I’m just sitting off to the side in awe of all these strong women and hoping the *%#{^ing health care administrator gets that shit worked out like right freaking now.
