Love to unfortunately I'm not allowed in Canada due to a DUI that from 40 years ago shouldn't even be on my record. If you want to explore West VIrginia I'd be happy to show you around though.

Glad to see you "on the mend".

To be clear, I posted in Region 6 for three reasons:

1. IMHO Region 6 is the most active (you're #1)
2. I rarely ride in my area of Canada (Ontario) due to straight roads and a high population density
(a highly dense population

)
3. Region 6 is easily accessible to me

So, I am specifically thinking SE Ohio or WV, but with very little persuasion, could be talked into going further afield.

Let's see what happens!

I am planning on doing a 4-day trip to The Snake in October. The route is planned but the departure is totally weather dependent. When I see a good window of weather on a weekend, it's kickstands up. I'm hoping to get some fall foliage in the mix.

Day 1 - Pittsburgh to Marion (VA) via 119, 20, 16
Day 2 - Marion to Norton via VA52, The Snake, Roan Mtn, etc
Day 3 - Norton to Ashland (KY) via 160, 119, and Ky32
Day 4 - Ashland up through southeast OH to Bellaire, then slab to home.

You could park your truck at my house in Pittsburgh. We have a modest little house, but there is a guest room you would be welcome to use.

Garry, I'd love to do that ride! The only weekend I'd be out is the 19'th and 20'th, due to unavoidable business travel.

ixxion, appreciate the offer and I'll keep it in mind.

Richard, while still on my "bucket list", the Barber Museum will have to wait another year.

I'd be up for a repeat of the Seneca Caverns Camp Out in September. That was a nice time, and some of y'all that live close by could make it a day ride, if so desired.

I might be up for the Seneca camping thing that I missed last year because Andrew crashed and broke his ankle. And he won’t be going this year either because he crashed again and has 4 broken ribs.
I’m thinking maybe he needs to sell his bikes. Anyone want 13 Italian and German classics that don’t run?
Mike I’m still considering going to Barber. If that happens I won’t do Seneca. But the odds aren’t on Leeds.

Wait. What? But Mansfield is about 10 minutes from Wellsboro. Way cooler place to stay.

I could attempt another Fall Foliage Ride. Need to set a date though 'cause due to elevation differences peak color is varied. Anyone up to it? The best rides are in the high altitude and best in late September. One day or overnighter?

Did they fix smoke hole? I was on it a year ago or so and it was completely ruined with dug-up sections and absolute crap paving. Was so not worth the run up it.

I was by there a couple weekends ago, and didn't even bother making the turn based on how bad it was last year. Last year Liz and I were showing a friend the road; he'd never been on it. Face <-- egg.
